Co-sponsored by New Hampshire Housing and Northern New England Housing Investment Fund. Training and discussion on House Bill 1442 (formerly Senate Bill 199), which has been passed and is awaiting the Governor’s signature. This bill provides owners of LIHTC properties the option to elect to be assessed under a statutory income approach. The key:  taxpayers must analyze whether the bill will help them and then they must elect to be so assessed by October 1, 2008. With restrictions on rents but no restrictions on expenses, it is essential to look at all operating expenses.
